Your first visit starts with a conversation

Fern spends the first half hour on your hair, not on the color.

At the consultation Fern looks at your hair in daylight, listens to what you want and asks what has been on your hair. You leave with a plan, a schedule in weeks and a time estimate, and you see your price before anything is mixed.

Your first visit

Five steps, from booking to the next appointment.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Book your visit

Book a color consultation, or a cut, on the booking page. Fern confirms by text and sends the suite's door code the day before.

  2. 02

    Step 2: What to bring

Photos help most, including photos of color you don't want.

    • Color you like and color you don't

    • What you remember of past color

    • Any past reaction to a hair product

  3. 03

    Step 3: When you arrive

Come five minutes early. Park on Chestnut Street or in the public lot behind the building, and let yourself in with the door code.

  4. 04

    Step 4: What to expect

A consultation takes about half an hour. On a color day, plan for two to four hours, depending on your plan.

  5. 05

    Step 5: Afterward

Fern tells you how to care for your color at home and when your next visit should be, in weeks, and books it before you leave if you like.

Tell Fern what you want and what your hair has been through, and she will plan the visits.
